The 9-1-1 site is major link site that covers all of the Emergency Services, including Fire Departments, Police Departments, Emergency Medical Services, Search & Rescue, Civil Air Patrol, Disaster Management & Recovery, Red Cross,  D.A.R.E. Program, Homeland Security to Towing & Recovery. These links are then broken down by country, then by states, provinces & territories.


Disaster Help
This web site is part of the President's Disaster Management Egov Initiative - a larger initiative aimed at greatly enhancing Disaster Management on an interagency and intergovernmental basis.

The Disaster Management initiative will use cutting-edge information technology to improve the delivery of disaster assistance information and services by creating a single Internet-based portal to serve the public’s requirement for assistance, and the government’s requirement to provide disaster information and services.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is one of the 13 major operating components of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), which is the principal agency in the United States government for protecting the health and safety of all Americans and for providing essential human services, especially for those people who are least able to help themselves.

Since it was founded in 1946 to help control malaria, CDC has remained at the forefront of public health efforts to prevent and control infectious and chronic diseases, injuries, workplace hazards, disabilities, and environmental health threats.
