The NIMS Integration Center considers anyone who has taken all applicable NIMS courses according to their level of responsibility within an incident to have satisfied the NIMS training elements as part of the NIMS Implementation Activities (FY07 NIMS Compliance Matrix and Metrics). Therefore it is immaterial to the NIC if someone takes the ICS courses from the NWCG, NFA, EMI, USDA, EPA, Coast Guard, a private vendor etc. as long as the courses meet the content and objectives outlined in the National Standard Curriculum Training Development Guidance, March 2007.
International Forensics eLearning Academy (IFEA) offers a full suite of Homeland Security and Emergency Management (HLS & EM) related Education & Training Courses to assist our clients with risk and hazard mitigation, emergency preparedness and response initiatives, interagency communication and collaboration, and disaster recovery from natural and man-made emergency incidents.
Hospitals have an inherent responsibility to their community to be prepared for any type of emergency. Our training curricula will educate hospitals and public health agencies on how to prepare for, and respond to, emergency situations, including Bioterrorism and complying with JCAHO standards as mandated by the government.
Our newest additions to our suite of courses now include Port Facility Security which adhere to Maritime Transportation Security Act (MTSA) and the International Ship and Port Facility Security Code (ISPS); and our Chemical Facility Security courses which adhere to the comprehensive federal security regulations for previously unregulated high-risk chemical facilities will go into effect beginning June 8, 2007. IFEA offers 18 comprehensive training courses that will help your facility meet the requirements of these vital regulations. Other new courseware in First Responder (EMS) and Hazwoper roundout our HLS suite.
IFEA’s training solutions are based on federally established HLS & EM principles. Most of the training content, which IFEA develops and delivers, is based on the broad base of expertise on its Consulting Services Team. For instance, many of our courses have been authored and/or reviewed by former FEMA educators, including instructors and course designers for the Emergency Management Institute, FEMA’s premier training center.
IFEA’s HLS & EM coursework is offered in both Instructor-led and eLearning formats, and can be tailored to the specific needs of our clients. Our Consulting Services Team has extensive experience in both writing and customizing emergency management coursework to address the unique requirements of our clients. Instructor-led courses are delivered at the client location(s) and can be customized and delivered in 1, 2.5, or 5 day lengths.
Each and every HLS & EM instructor-led course offered by IFEA is available online, in a self-study format.
